Chris Brown's Former Housekeeper Accepts Reduced $9.5M Dog Attack Verdict

Maria Avila, the former housekeeper of Chris Brown, has agreed to reduce her $13 million trial verdict against him from $13M to $9.5M. A Los Angeles County Judge Huey P. Cotton gave Avilas the choice to retry her claims against Brown or receive a reduced $9%. Brown had accepted some liability for the incident but blamed AvilA for her injuries. However, the judge ruled that the $12.9 million verdict was too high to match Avilra's injuries and stated that there was insufficient evidence of extensive permanent nerve damage. Brown's lawyers had previously attempted to appeal the original $12.,9M verdict.
