It remains unclear whether the book sold privately after the eBay listing disappeared, or if negotiations continued offline The Age. One report claimed the seller planned to donate 10 percent of proceeds to a charity supporting disadvantaged children's education in Thailand. The lack of transparency about provenance and the vague sales process left questions about the book's fate unanswered.
