Waverly Advisors LLC made five new equity and ETF purchases in the first quarter, spending roughly $2.86 million across diversified asset classes, according to Watchlist News. The firm picked up shares in DFAC, JQUA, VICI Properties, CGHM, and Molina Healthcare — a mix spanning real estate, healthcare, fixed income, and broad U.S. equity exposure.
The moves signal active, opportunistic positioning. Waverly was far from alone — dozens of other institutional investors added or expanded stakes in the same securities during Q1, per Watchlist News.
Waverly's largest single purchase by share count was VICI Properties. The firm bought 22,201 shares worth about $607,000, according to Watchlist News. It also bought 21,487 shares of the Capital Group Municipal High-Income ETF (CGHM) for roughly $544,000, and 9,694 shares of the JPMorgan U.S. Quality Factor ETF (JQUA) for about $594,000.
Rounding out the quarter, Waverly added 13,496 shares of the Dimensional U.S. Core Equity 2 ETF (DFAC) for around $524,000. It also opened a new stake in Molina Healthcare (MOH) — 4,466 shares valued at roughly $595,000. No single bet dominated. Each position sat between $500,000 and $610,000.
Waverly's DFAC stake is small compared to peers. Monograph Wealth Advisors holds 6,838,156 shares worth about $265.73 million. Rockbridge Investment Management grew its position 8.1% to 3,814,103 shares — now valued near $148.22 million. Sei Investments jumped 33.1% to 246,847 shares, per Watchlist News.
JQUA attracted even bigger flows. Savant Capital LLC now holds 10,256,962 shares worth roughly $648.04 million. Focus Partners Wealth opened a brand-new position of 1,368,506 shares (~$86.46 million). Hughes Financial Services increased to 876,395 shares (~$55.37 million), according to Watchlist News.
VICI Properties is nearly entirely owned by institutions. About 97.71% of the stock sits with hedge funds and asset managers, per Watchlist News. New buyers in Q1 include State of Wyoming, Headlands Technologies, Bayban, Dynamic Wealth Strategies, and BOKF NA — all adding fresh positions alongside Waverly.
Molina Healthcare tells a similar story. Hedge funds own about 98.5% of MOH, according to Watchlist News. New entrants in Q1 include Torren Management, MUFG Securities EMEA, Quarry LP, Triumph Capital Management, and Physician Wealth Advisors. Waverly's $595,000 stake is a small slice of a heavily institutional stock.
The Capital Group Municipal High-Income ETF saw smaller dollar moves but broad participation. Bank of America Corp DE added about $34,000 worth. CIBC Private Wealth Group LLC put in roughly $48,000. Advisory Services Network LLC added $61,000, and Camelot Portfolios LLC added $67,000, per Watchlist News.
Flagship Harbor Advisors LLC added $68,000 in CGHM during Q1. These are modest sums, but the wide spread of buyers shows growing interest in municipal high-income fixed income as an alternative to straight equity exposure. Waverly's $544,000 purchase was one of the larger individual additions reported.
