NASCAR Suspends Team Owner and Crew Member Indefinitely Following Altercation

NASCAR has suspended team owner Chad Bryant and crew member Steve Civatarese indefinitely from all NASCAR events, including next year's ValleyStar Credit Union 300, and placed them on probation for a year. Bryant was fined $2,000 and must attend a NASCAR-approved anger management program, while Civatarease was fined and placed on probation through Dec. 31, 2027. Four others from the Bryant pit crew were also fined and put on probation due to their involvement in a separate altercation following the race. The incident occurred shortly after the ValleyStar credit Union 300 at Martinsville Speedway. The punishment comes after NASCAR was criticized on social media for not ignoring the beating of rising star Corey Heim.
