Trump plans Alaska trip to support Senator Dan Sullivan in tight race

President Donald Trump plans to campaign for Sen. Dan Sullivan (R-Alaska), who is currently in a tight race for the November midterm elections. Sullivan, a two-term Republican, finished second in the primary and will face former Congresswoman Mary Peltola (D) in the November general election. During an interview with White House Correspondent Jon Decker, Trump praised Sullivan as a loyal supporter throughout both his terms as president. He also claimed that he won Alaska in 2024 by 24 points. The Alaska Senate race could determine who controls the Senate for the next two years.
