Wall Street trading and investment firms project record profits exceeding $90 billion.

New York's trading and investment-banking firms are predicted to deliver record earnings, with profit expected to exceed $90 billion, according to a report by New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli. The estimate, based on growth in the first half of 2026, would surpass last year's record of $65.1 billion. DiNapolis measured profits of broker-dealer operations of New York Stock Exchange member firms.
