Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal misses training with a knock but could face Valencia.

Hansi Flick said Barcelona’s captaincy order is Raphinha, Pedri, Eric Garcia, Frenkie de Jong and Lamine Yamal; Raphinha and Pedri were chosen by Flick, while the other three were selected by a team vote.
Barcelona have added Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi and Gabriel Jesus during the summer, giving Flick alternative attacking options if Yamal cannot play; Raphinha and Adeyemi were identified as possible replacements on the right flank.
Flick said Yamal’s desire to play remained strong and suggested that starting him could be preferable to another training session as he regains his energy, after starting Barcelona’s first three matches.
Barcelona were scheduled to travel to Valencia on Saturday afternoon and stay overnight before Sunday’s match at Mestalla.
Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal missed the team's final training session Saturday morning due to a knock, but coach Hansi Flick said the teenager felt fine afterward and will travel to Valencia. Flick expressed hope that Yamal could start Sunday's La Liga match at Mestalla, suggesting playing might help him regain energy better than another training session.
Yamal, now part of Barcelona's leadership group as fifth captain, scored twice in the previous league win over Rayo Vallecano. Barcelona enter with three straight victories and can extend their lead over Real Madrid, who lost to Real Betis.
Flick kept Yamal out of group training as a precaution but confirmed the 17-year-old's desire to play remained strong. The manager suggested starting him could work better than holding him out, especially after Yamal started Barcelona's first three matches. A final decision will come after the squad's overnight stay in Valencia.
Barcelona strengthened their attack this summer with Anthony Gordon, Karim Adeyemi, and Gabriel Jesus. Flick can turn to Raphinha or Adeyemi on the right flank if Yamal is unavailable, giving the manager flexibility for Sunday's clash at Mestalla.
Yamal has joined Barcelona's captaincy group in fifth position, behind Raphinha, Pedri, Eric Garcia, and Frenkie de Jong. Flick picked Raphinha and Pedri, while Garcia, de Jong, and Yamal were chosen by team vote—a sign of the teenager's growing influence in the squad.
