David Zaslav Sends Farewell Video Ahead of Skydance Acquisition of Warner Bros.

David Zaslav, CEO of Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, has sent out a three-minute video to his employees on his last day before Skydanced's acquisition of Warner Bros., setting up the imminent layoffs of thousands of employees. The video, which included Zaslam sitting in a director's chair at Warner Bros.' Ranch facility in Burbank, California, praises the creative class and the importance of creating something that connects with people and stays with them. The executive is set to leave with a pay package potentially worth upwards of $800 million and the sale he initiated sets up the inevitable layoffs of millions.
