NFL suspends 49ers owner Jed York six games following his misdemeanor arrest.

Police said York was arrested in a mobile home park during an operation by the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force after allegedly trying to pay $160 for sex with a woman he believed to be a prostitute. He was released after posting $5,000 bond.
The $160 police seized from York was later given to the human trafficking task force as part of his plea agreement.
Before the suspension was announced, York missed September meetings for the Business Ventures, Diversity and Media committees, as well as a joint Stadium and Finance Committee meeting. He also missed an Aug. 26 full owners meeting where Vinod Khosla’s purchase of the Seahawks was approved.
York also holds stakes in Premier League club Leeds United and Scottish club Rangers through 49ers Enterprises.
The NFL suspended San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York for six regular-season games and fined him $500,000 for violating its personal conduct policy following his August arrest in Ohio, NFL. York pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of disorderly conduct and possession of criminal tools after prosecutors amended an initial prostitution charge. He received a one-day jail sentence, a $1,150 fine, and must complete an online course.
York has already missed the team's first three games and league meetings, which count toward his suspension, making him eligible to return October 20. He accepted the league's decision and apologized, calling the incident "an inexcusable mistake" and saying he takes full responsibility, Beaumont Enterprise reported.

York missed the 49ers' first three regular-season games before the NFL announced its formal suspension, RealGM noted. Those absences count toward the six-game penalty. Before the suspension was announced, York also missed September committee meetings, including sessions for Business Ventures, Diversity, and Media. He additionally skipped an August 26 full owners meeting where Vinod Khosla's purchase of the Seattle Seahawks was approved.
Beyond the 49ers, York holds ownership stakes in Premier League club Leeds United and Scottish club Rangers through 49ers Enterprises, Voice of Alexandria reported. The suspension does not appear to affect his roles with those international soccer clubs. York's focus now turns to accepting league discipline and rebuilding his public standing following the incident.
