The Institute Season 2 Trailer Debuts Alfie Allen and Teases New Dangers

The trailer introduces Reeves as an eccentric European tech billionaire with his own ambitious agenda; in one exchange, he says he wants to know Luke Ellis’s “weak spots.”
The series follows gifted children abducted and subjected to disturbing experiments at the Institute, where abilities such as telepathy and telekinesis make them valuable to their captors.

Jack Bender directs Season 2 from a teleplay by Benjamin Cavell; both said they felt from the project’s inception that there was more story to tell.
MGM+ released the first trailer for The Institute Season 2, confirming a November 8 premiere for the Stephen King adaptation iNews. The new season follows Luke and his friends as they escape Dennison and hunt down the Institute, while its Director seeks help from wealthy tech billionaire Nolan Reeves, played by Alfie Allen. Ms. Sigsby, the deposed facility boss, has become a fugitive plotting her way back inside iHorror.

Alfie Allen plays Nolan Reeves, an eccentric European tech billionaire with his own hidden agenda. In the trailer, Reeves tells the Institute's Director he wants to know Luke Ellis's "weak spots" Gizmodo. The new character represents a fresh threat as the escapees try to dismantle the organization from the outside.
Ms. Sigsby has abandoned her role as the Institute's facility director and now lives as a fugitive iHorror. Rather than disappear, she is scheming to find a way back into the organization. Her storyline shifts away from the original Stephen King novel, adding new dramatic tension to Season 2.
Season 2 reunites viewers with Joe Freeman, Ben Barnes, and Mary-Louise Parker iNews. The eight-episode season marks the show's return after its first season became a ratings hit for MGM+ AOL. Jack Bender directs from Benjamin Cavell's teleplay, bringing continuity to the adaptation's storytelling.
