Darren Till and Yoel Romero set to headline BKFC 94 in Manchester.

Darren Till and 49-year-old Yoel Romero are scheduled to headline BKFC 94 in a cruiserweight bout at Manchester’s AO Arena on September 26, 2026. Both former UFC title challengers are coming off successful bare-knuckle debuts, with Till having stopped Aaron Chalmers and Romero having defeated Theo Doukas. The event will feature three championship fights, including David Mundell vs. Jack Cullen for the middleweight title, alongside a 12-fight card broadcast on DAZN and BKFC+. Promotional material has intensified interest by framing the matchup as the biggest fight in BKFC history and highlighting the fighters’ contrasting striking and wrestling backgrounds. The event has also renewed concerns about fighter welfare, as the risks of repeated head trauma and the limited specialized support available to aging combat-sports athletes were underscored by the recent death of former British champion Jimmy Revie from pugilistic dementia.
Darren Till recovered from a knockdown before stopping Aaron Chalmers just 22 seconds into the second round of their BKFC debut at BKFC 90.
Till’s post-UFC career has included three professional boxing victories, following his 2018 welterweight title challenge against Tyron Woodley and his move to middleweight before leaving the UFC in 2023.
The bout is set at a 190-pound catchweight, with Till’s rangy Muay Thai left straight contrasted against Romero’s Olympic silver-medal wrestling background and explosive leaping attacks.
The other championship bouts include Gaz Corran vs. Mac Bygraves, with both fighters seeking to preserve unbeaten records, and cruiserweight champion Karl Thompson defending his title against Andy Thornton.
The promotion has already floated a potential next storyline for Till: a matchup with BKFC star Mike Perry if Till defeats Romero and emerges as the organization’s new leading figure.
