Oswal Pumps has won a major contract to build solar power systems at nearly 10,000 government schools across Telangana. The company will design, supply, and install 46.7 megawatts of rooftop solar capacity for ₹297.5 crore, including taxes, according to CNBC TV18. The company must complete installation within 180 days and provide five years of maintenance. Chairman Vivek Gupta called the win proof of the company's technical and execution strength.
The rooftop systems come in three power sizes to match each school's needs. Schools will receive either 2 kW, 5 kW, or 10 kW solar arrays, depending on their roof space and electricity demand, Renewable Watch said. The systems will use advanced Mono PERC and TOPCon solar modules, which convert sunlight to electricity more efficiently than older types.
All 9,937 schools across Telangana's 33 districts will get remote monitoring equipment. This technology lets Oswal Pumps track system performance in real time and spot problems before they cause downtime. The setup ensures schools maintain steady power for classrooms and administrative buildings.
