Katie Taylor Wins Farewell Boxing Match in Front of 80000 Fans

Irish boxer Katie Taylor ended her career with a victory over previously undefeated Flora Pili at Croke Park in front of 80,000 fans. The 40-year-old former Olympic gold medalist, who won an Olympic gold and headlined at Madison Square Garden, dominated her French opponent over 10 rounds and added the vacant WBC super lightweight title to her WBO, WBA and IBF belts. In 2022, Taylor beat Amanda Serrano at a sold-out Madison Square Gardens in what was the first women’s boxing match to headline the arena.
