MLB Fans Raise Suspicions Over Sonny Gray Neck Images After Red Sox Loss

The Boston Red Sox lost to the New York Yankees in the first round playoff game of the season, with fans expressing suspicion that Sonny Gray's neck appeared to have been caked with pine tar. The incident occurred during a Game 2 match between the Red Sox and New York City's Sonny Gray, who has been touching his neck since March. The media company Jomboy, which MLB bought a stake in last summer, accused Gray of using "sticky stuff" in a video accusing him of using it. Gray, a 36-year-old veteran who is likely to retire in the near future, did not directly address the issue in the post-game press conference. If it was pine tar, perhaps Red Sox manager Chad Tracy should've left Gray in the game instead of giving it to the bullpen.
