Steelers Hand Bengals First Loss With Late 30-27 Thriller in Cincinnati

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Cincinnati Bengals 30-27 in a back-and-forth AFC North matchup, moving to 2-1 and handing Cincinnati its first loss. Aaron Rodgers threw for 292 yards and three touchdowns, while Jaylen Warren contributed 176 yards from scrimmage. After a holding penalty erased Warren’s 87-yard run late in the fourth quarter, Rodgers led a quick response that included a 47-yard connection with Darnell Washington and set up Chris Boswell’s go-ahead field goal. Pittsburgh sealed the win when Derrick Harmon sacked Joe Burrow and forced a fumble that Sebastian Joseph-Day recovered, ending Cincinnati’s final drive.
Aaron Rodgers opened Pittsburgh’s scoring with a 38-yard touchdown pass to Roman Wilson, after his first pass of the game gained 30 yards to Jaylen Warren.
Joe Burrow completed his first 14 passes and finished 28 of 37 for 282 yards and three touchdowns. Ja’Marr Chase had nine catches for 98 yards and a score, while Tee Higgins caught six passes for 90 yards and a touchdown.
A pass from Rodgers deflected off Roman Wilson’s hands and was intercepted by Bengals safety Jordan Battle; Cincinnati then drove 53 yards in five plays to tie the score at 17-17 before halftime.
Early in the fourth quarter, Bengals returner Ke’Shawn Williams muffed a Cameron Johnston punt, worsening Cincinnati’s field position.
