Tom Holland’s long-developing, untitled Fred Astaire biopic has added Margaret Qualley as Astaire’s sister and early dance partner, Adele, and Sabrina Carpenter as Ginger Rogers. Directed by Paul King and written by King and Steven Levenson, the film is based on Kathleen Riley’s book The Astaires: Fred & Adele. It is expected to trace Fred and Adele’s rise from vaudeville to Broadway and London’s West End, before Fred’s Hollywood success with Rogers as his dance partner.
