New York Jets Finally Record First Interception, Breaking Historic Scoreless Streak

The New York Jets ended their 20-game interception-less streak against the Chicago Bears, breaking Minkah Fitzpatrick's jump in front of Tyson Bagent pass. This was the first time the Jets had intercepted a pass since the 2024 season, when Ashtyn Davis intercepted Tyler Huntley twice in a Jets victory against the Miami Dolphins. The team's previous interception was overturned by a penalty. Last season, the Jets became the first team in NFL history to go an entire season without an interception, and also set a record by only having four takeaways all season. The streak was widely mocked by the team, with defensive coordinator Steve Wilks being fired in December.
