Medical Jet Vanishing Off Massachusetts Coast Prompts Coast Guard Search Hault

The Bermuda Police identified the victims as 66-year-old Marilyn Lavonne Bean and her 41-year old son, Sergio Wayne Lottimore, who were on board the medical jet that vanished off the coast of Nantucket Island, Massachusetts. The plane was en route from Bermuda to Boston when it lost contact with air traffic controllers on Saturday, October 3. The Coast Guard halted the search for the six people after covering approximately 4,445 miles for 66 hours. The remaining six passengers are believed to have died. The identities of the four Canadian nationals on board have not been disclosed. The Canada-based Latitude Air Ambulance operated the medical plane and will cooperate with the National Transportation Safety Board, the Transportation Safety board of Canada, and other agencies as the investigation continues.
