Dolly Parton Revives Country Disco With New Chris Stapleton Collaboration

Dolly Parton's Country-Disco sound is back, thanks to a song she wrote with Chris Stapleton and Jesse Frasure titled "Song to Sing." The song was inspired by the term "Crisco," a term used in country disco. Parton credits Glen Campbell, Glen Campbell and Rosanne Cash for the inspiration. She also mentions a Jim Croce cover on the song. Partont has stated that he has never personally explored country disco in his career, but believes it's time for it to be brought back.
