Athletics Canada Reports Member Missing While Climbing Near Switzerland-Italy Border

Athletics Canada has reported that one of its member, Kalie McCrystal, went missing while attempting to break a mountain-running record in the Alps near the Switzerland-Italy border. The national sport governing body, Athletics Canada, stated that McCryst was last seen on Tuesday and was climbing Italy's Matterhorn, a 4,481-metre-tall mountain that also overlooks Zermatt, Switzerland. The statement did not specify the record she was trying to break and McCrystant's family is working with mountain rescue services. Her hometown is listed as Squamish, B.C.
