Renowned Cancer Biologist Karen Vousden Joins Faeth Therapeutics Board of Directors

Faeth Therapeutics appointed cancer biologist and scientific co-founder Karen Vousden, Ph.D., to its Board of Directors effective September 11, 2026, expanding the board from five to six members. Vousden, who also serves on Bristol Myers Squibb’s board, brings expertise in the p53 tumor suppressor, cancer metabolism, and scientific leadership from The Francis Crick Institute, Cancer Research UK, and the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research; she will serve as a Class II director and join Faeth’s Compensation Committee. The appointment comes as Faeth advances its PIKTOR precision-oncology program and approaches topline Phase 2 data in endometrial cancer while continuing development in breast cancer.
Vousden was appointed as a Class II director for a term lasting until Faeth’s 2029 annual meeting of stockholders, subject to earlier departure or removal.
As part of her appointment, Vousden will receive a cash retainer and a stock-option award under Faeth’s 2026 Equity Incentive Plan; the options vest over three years and include acceleration provisions in the event of a change in control.
Faeth’s PIKTOR program combines the investigational drugs serabelisib and sapanisertib for development in endometrial and breast cancers.
Faeth CEO Anand Parikh said Vousden “helped shape the scientific thesis this company was built on” and had been a trusted adviser since the company’s founding.
Faeth co-founded the company with Vousden in April 2019, according to the company’s regulatory filing, which cited her cancer-biology research, institutional leadership and public-company board experience as qualifications for the directorship.
