Goldman Sachs Reports 42 Indian AI Stocks Surge 60 Percent Amid Infrastructure Boom

AI-related stocks are drawing attention across markets, though investors are looking beyond headline-grabbing models to the chips, power, data centers, cybersecurity and software needed to build and deploy AI. German AI-exposed shares rebounded, while attention also turned to a White House AI summit on balancing innovation and oversight and reports that Anthropic is seeking a valuation above $2 trillion despite plans for exceptionally large infrastructure spending. In India, Goldman Sachs identified 42 companies positioned to benefit from AI infrastructure investment; the group has outperformed the broader market but trades at a steep valuation premium, and includes companies across hardware, utilities and technology as well as major IT firms such as TCS, Infosys, Wipro and HCL Technologies. Separate stock screens highlight UK cybersecurity provider Shearwater Group and India-focused companies including automotive software supplier KPIT Technologies and financial-software firm Intellect Design Arena as potential AI plays, while emphasizing that their prospects depend on company-specific risks. Overall, the sources point to growing investor interest in AI infrastructure and adoption, alongside concerns about high valuations and the scale of spending required.
German AI-linked shares rose by as much as 5% on Tuesday: Suss MicroTec, Aixtron, Jenoptik, Siltronic and Elmos posted particularly strong gains, while Infineon and Siemens Energy were among the DAX’s best performers.
Goldman Sachs’ 42 Indian AI Enablers had gained about 60% while the Nifty was down 12% through mid-September 2026. Their forward price-to-earnings ratio was about 36—an 85% premium to MSCI India—and the Economic Times selected 14 companies from the group based on a minimum capex intensity of 20%.
Shearwater Group, one of the UK AI stocks highlighted, had a market value of about £14.2 million. Its Mind Security service is AI-powered, but its reported revenue mix was weighted heavily toward Services (£33.1 million) rather than Software (£1.8 million).
The India-focused stock screen describes KPIT Technologies as supplying software for connected, software-driven vehicles, and gives its regional revenue figures as ₹34.7 billion from the UK and Europe, ₹32.1 billion from the rest of the world, and ₹18.5 billion from the Americas. It also identifies Intellect Design Arena’s AI-oriented platforms as serving banking, wealth, treasury and insurance workflows.
