Green Day Unveils Expansive 30-Track Nimrods Soundtrack Featuring Classics and Exclusive Tracks

Nimrods Original Soundtrack will be released on July 31 via Reprise Records, marking Green Day's collaboration for the film’s accompanying music.
The tracklist includes iconic Green Day songs such as 'Longview', 'In the End', 'When I Come Around', and 'Wake Me Up When September Ends' alongside the film’s exclusives.
In addition to Green Day tracks, the soundtrack features contributions from The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace, and four tracks by Analog Dogs, the fictional band at the center of Nimrods.
The official music video for I’m Never Gonna R.I.P. includes clips from Nimrods and features performances by Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool.
The Nimrods film features a broader cast beyond the previously highlighted stars, including Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, Sean Gunn, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, Keen Ruffalo, in addition to Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey.
Green Day is releasing the Nimrods Original Soundtrack on July 31, a 30-track collection tied to their upcoming comedy film, according to NME and V13. The album mixes 22 classic Green Day songs with new material, exclusive live recordings, and contributions from several other artists.
To mark the announcement, the band dropped a brand new song called "I'm Never Gonna R.I.P.," along with a music video featuring clips from the film, Tone Deaf reported. The Nimrods film itself hits theaters on August 14.
The soundtrack packs in Green Day fan favorites like "Longview," "When I Come Around," "In the End," and "Wake Me Up When September Ends," according to NME. Those 22 classic tracks make up the core of the album.
Beyond the classics, the album includes four previously unreleased live recordings from a Green Day show at the Palladium in Los Angeles, V13 reported. Songs from The Paradox, Ultra Q, Mckenna Grace, and Analog Dogs — the fictional band at the center of the film — round out the remaining tracks.
Green Day's new track takes aim at the devil and death, with lyrics that carry the driving, punchy feel of classic rock, according to Rolling Stone India. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool all appear in the song's official music video.
The video weaves in clips from Nimrods, giving fans their first real look at the film's tone and style, Tone Deaf noted. Pre-orders for the soundtrack are open now ahead of the July 31 release date.
Nimrods is a coming-of-age comedy about three friends who travel to Los Angeles. They mistakenly believe they will open for Green Day on New Year's Eve. The film stars Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey, best known from The Office, V13 reported.
The cast also includes Fred Armisen, Bobby Lee, Sean Gunn, Ignacio Diaz-Silverio, and Keen Ruffalo. The movie opens in theaters on August 14, just two weeks after the soundtrack drops on July 31.
The Nimrods Original Soundtrack will be released through Reprise Records across multiple formats, according to NME. Fans can get it on CD, cassette, digital platforms, and several vinyl variants.
Pre-orders are live now for all formats. The release ties directly to the film's theatrical debut, giving fans a way to own the music before they even see the movie on August 14.
