Google Expands Gemini AI Across Apps, Devices, and Third-Party Services

Google is broadening Gemini’s role across services: Pixel 11 testers can ask it to call businesses, with AI disclosure, live transcripts and the option to take over, while Gemini in Chrome is gaining page and cross-tab context, Google-service integrations and Android Auto Browse capabilities. Gemini Connected Apps are adding Adobe, Squarespace, monday.com, Airtable, Linear, PandaDoc and Peloton; users can connect available services in Gemini settings and invoke them in prompts, including with @mentions. Adobe creative tools are coming to Gemini, and Acrobat tools are coming to Claude. The monday.com connector is read-only for now, surfacing board information in Gemini and supported Google Workspace apps without creating or updating board items. The updates aim to reduce app switching, but available actions vary by service, and questions remain about business-call acceptance and the scope of connected-app capabilities.
Google says Gemini can place orders, schedule appointments, make reservations and check product availability by phone; it can also navigate automated menus and wait on hold for a human representative.
The Chrome expansion included desktop and iOS availability in India, New Zealand and Canada announced March 11, 2026, followed by an Android update on May 12 adding Auto Browse and agentic capabilities.
Adobe says its Gemini tools are available across all plans, drawing on Photoshop, Lightroom, Adobe Express and Firefly; users can ask Gemini to enhance photos, create marketing assets and customize designs in chat.
Adobe’s Acrobat tools are being added to its Claude plugin on Claude and Claude Code across desktop, web and mobile. Adobe says signing in with an Adobe account unlocks higher usage limits, additional tools and continuity across sessions.
Google’s broader productivity Connected Apps expansion also includes Wispr AI and Zoho, beyond the services named in the summary.
