HousingWire Names Five Influential Women for 2026, Shaping Real Estate's Future

Led deployment of Rocket Logic and the company's agentic AI capabilities across Rocket's mortgage operations, enabling automation, faster processes, and AI-powered preapprovals that borrowers can engage with anytime.
Canopy MLS, under AnneMarie DeCatsye, launched Rayse, Realtor.com+ and Cribio integrations and became the first North Carolina MLS to permit participation by non-REALTOR subscribers.
Tara Brown implemented Peerage Realty Partners’ three-year strategic framework to unify U.S. brokerage operations and expand into integrated residential services—mortgage, title, and transaction services—while driving AI and technology modernization.
Elan Chambers helped federal housing partners evaluate foreclosure strategies using marketplace data to increase third-party foreclosure sales, reduce REO, and promoted pre-foreclosure alternatives like SmartSale, coordinating with HUD, USDA and VA on policy and practice.
Andria Lightfoot established dedicated Professional Services and Client Success teams at FirstClose, introduced structured project management methodologies, and accelerated home equity loan workflows through technology adoption.
HousingWire has named five women as 2026 Women of Influence, spotlighting leaders reshaping mortgage technology, real estate data, and federal housing policy. The honorees span companies from Rocket Companies to a federal foreclosure marketplace, reflecting a broader industry shift from cost-cutting to technological reinvention. HousingWire
The class of 2026 includes Heather Lovier of Rocket Companies, AnneMarie DeCatsye of Canopy REALTOR® Association, Tara Brown of Peerage Realty Partners, Elan Chambers of Xome, and Andria Lightfoot of FirstClose. Each led a distinct but overlapping effort: deploying AI, opening data access, unifying brokerage operations, reducing foreclosures, and accelerating home equity loans.
Heather Lovier, Chief Operating Officer at Rocket Companies, led the rollout of Rocket Logic — the company's agentic AI platform. Agentic AI doesn't just suggest actions; it executes them autonomously. Rocket's system can now clear title conditions and verify income without a human opening the file. HousingWire
The most visible result: AI-powered pre-approvals available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Rocket says the average time to pre-approve a qualified borrower dropped from 24 hours to under 10 minutes. Lovier described the goal as creating a system that "anticipates the needs of the borrower before a human processor even opens the file."
AnneMarie DeCatsye, CEO of Canopy REALTOR® Association, made Canopy MLS the first Multiple Listing Service in North Carolina to allow participation by non-REALTOR® subscribers. The move came after the 2024 NAR commission settlement forced the industry to rethink who gets access to listing data. DeCatsye called it "a survival strategy for a modern ecosystem." HousingWire
Canopy MLS also launched integrations with Rayse, Realtor.com+, and Cribio — tools that give subscribers a tech stack competitive with national platforms. The non-REALTOR® access change is estimated to open the market to roughly 15% more participants in the region. Not everyone applauded: traditionalists worry the move dilutes the REALTOR® brand and weakens ethics enforcement.
Tara Brown, President of U.S. operations at Peerage Realty Partners, launched a three-year strategic framework in late 2024 to unify fragmented brokerage operations. The goal is to move beyond selling homes and into what she calls "integrated residential services" — mortgage, title, and transaction services under one roof. AI modernization is central to that push. HousingWire
Andria Lightfoot, Chief Customer Officer at FirstClose, tackled a different bottleneck: home equity loans. With high mortgage rates keeping homeowners from refinancing, demand for HELOCs surged in 2025. Lightfoot built dedicated Professional Services and Client Success teams from scratch and introduced structured project management methods. The result: a closing cycle 10 days shorter than before, according to a FirstClose case study.
Elan Chambers, Senior Vice President at Xome, worked directly with HUD, the USDA, and the VA to shift foreclosure strategy away from the old "evict and sell" model. Her team used marketplace data to push more homes toward third-party buyers before foreclosure was complete. The approach reduced REO — bank-owned property — inventory by 12% for partnered federal agencies. HousingWire
The centerpiece of that strategy is a product called SmartSale, a pre-foreclosure sale alternative that keeps homes occupied rather than vacant. Chambers coordinated with federal partners to standardize SmartSale as a primary option. "Reducing REO inventory is a win for the community," she said. "We keep homes in the hands of occupants rather than letting them sit on bank balance sheets."
