Actor Jim Carrey marries longtime partner Min Ah in private Los Angeles ceremony.

In a 2014 appearance on Howard Stern’s radio show, Carrey said marriage no longer seemed necessary, though he allowed that meeting someone who “knocks my head off” might change his mind.
Min Ah is a South Korean singer and actress who began her career with the group Girl’s Day and released her first solo album, “I Am a Woman Too,” in 2015.
In his César Awards speech, Carrey also credited his father, Percy Joseph Carrey, with teaching him “the value of love, generosity, and laughter.”
After Carrey’s César Awards appearance prompted online speculation that an impersonator had attended, his representative told Page Six that Carrey was there in person to accept the honorary award.
Jim Carrey, 64, has married his longtime partner Min Ah in a private Los Angeles ceremony, Worldnews confirmed. The wedding marks his third marriage and a surprising turn for the actor, who told Howard Stern in 2014 that he didn't expect to marry again — unless he met someone who "knocks my head off."
The couple kept their relationship under wraps until photographers spotted them together in 2022. They made their public debut at the César Awards in Paris this February, where Carrey called Min Ah his "sublime companion" and thanked his late father for teaching him the importance of love and generosity.
For years, the actor dismissed the idea of marriage. In 2014, Carrey spoke candidly on Howard Stern's radio show, saying the institution no longer felt necessary for him. But he left the door open: meeting someone truly special might change his perspective. Min Ah apparently cleared that bar.
Min Ah is a South Korean entertainer with deep roots in the music industry. She began her career as a member of the girl group Girl's Day, one of South Korea's biggest acts. In 2015, she launched her solo album, "I Am a Woman Too," establishing herself as an independent artist beyond the group.
This is Carrey's third marriage. He was previously married to Melissa Womer and later to actress Lauren Holly. Both unions ended in divorce. At the César Awards in February, Carrey reflected on his father, Percy Joseph Carrey, crediting him with instilling values of "love, generosity, and laughter" — principles that may have guided him toward this new chapter.
Carrey's César Awards appearance in Paris fueled online confusion. Some social media users questioned whether an impersonator had attended. His representative told Page Six the actor was genuinely there in person to accept an honorary award — and to publicly celebrate his relationship with Min Ah.
