LG Chem and Volkswagen Group have signed a memorandum of understanding to explore jointly developing lightweight, high-performance automotive materials, including plastics and composites made using LG Chem’s ABS and engineering plastics. The companies will also assess expanding the use of post-consumer recycled and cost-competitive materials in vehicle interiors and exteriors across Volkswagen’s brands.
