Sky Quarry Short Interest Surges 116 Percent As Others Decline

September short-interest figures through Sept. 15 showed sharply different trends among the five securities. Sky Quarry’s short interest rose 116.7% to 742,808 shares, equal to 8.9% of its shares, while the company has restarted its Nevada refinery and reported a quarterly loss. Short interest fell 74.9% for CBRE Global Real Estate Income Fund to 303,909 shares and 87.0% for Harbor International Compounders ETF to 29,559 shares. Calbee’s short interest declined 60.7% to 714 shares, and Crane Harbor Acquisition Corp. II’s dropped 71.4% to 40 shares. The reported short-interest ratios were low across the four declining securities, ranging from 0.2 to 0.9 days to cover.
Sky Quarry said its restarted Eagle Springs refinery has nameplate capacity of about 5,000 barrels per day and roughly 15,000 barrels of crude inventory available as operations ramp up. The company also completed about $300,000 in repairs and upgrades before restarting it.
