Colts Rule Out Keenan Allen for London Game With Groin Injury

Allen was limited in Thursday’s practice with the groin injury after being limited Wednesday for rest; he then missed Friday’s practice before being ruled out Saturday.
Allen’s strongest outing with Indianapolis came in the Week 3 win over Houston, when he caught 6 of 9 targets for 63 yards and his first touchdown with the Colts.
Week 4 is Allen’s first missed game, and his next opportunity to play is Week 5 against the Steelers on Sunday, Oct. 11.
The Colts-Commanders game is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. ET at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

With Allen sidelined, Josh Downs becomes the leading receiving threat WISH-TV. The Colts also elevated Nick Westbrook-Ikhine from the practice squad to add depth. Other pass-catchers face uncertainty: Alec Pierce is already injured, and Darius Slayton and Ashton Dulin have availability concerns heading into Sunday.
Quarterback Daniel Jones will need to lean more heavily on the remaining receivers and running back Jonathan Taylor WRTV. This London game presents a test of the Colts' depth after losing their second option in the passing game.
