Alabama Quarterback Keelon Russell Enters Heisman Race Following Dominant Performance

Keelon Russell, the 19-year-old sophomore quarterback of Alabama, performed well in a 56-23 victory over Mississippi State. His performance has raised his Heisman odds to the top of the charts. Russell's next test will be against SEC rival Georgia. Despite initial praise from Alabama center Delgatty, Russell insists he is not really worried about awards talk. He throws a gorgeous deep ball and knifes through defenses with his legs, and shows a surgeon's precision on third downs. Russell is considered too good for SMU and is considered a Heisman-caliber quarterback.
