Short Interest Shifts Sharply Across Four Selected Small-Cap Stocks

September short-interest reports showed sharp declines at iOThree, Wearable Devices and Innovative Eyewear, while Fly-E Group saw a steep increase. As of Sept. 15, short interest fell 87.3% at iOThree to 8,507 shares and 85.9% at Wearable Devices to 23,943 shares. Innovative Eyewear’s short interest dropped 90.8% to 115 shares. In contrast, Fly-E Group’s short interest rose 348.2% to 11,482 shares. The reports also noted that analysts’ consensus ratings for iOThree, Wearable Devices and Fly-E Group were Sell.
iOThree reported a quarterly loss of $0.22 per share and revenue of $3.68 million.
Wearable Devices’ Mudra platform uses wrist-worn devices and software to interpret neural and muscle signals, enabling gesture-based control of computers, smartphones and augmented-reality devices.
Fly-E Group reported a quarterly loss of $2.41 per share on revenue of $2.75 million; it sells and services electric bicycles, scooters and motorcycles, along with related parts and accessories.
Innovative Eyewear’s Lucyd Lyte glasses support hands-free calls, music and voice-assistant use, including access to ChatGPT; the company also sells Lyte XL and Nautica-branded smart eyewear.
