Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua Set For First London Press Conference

Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua have arrived in London for their first face-to-face press conference ahead of their long-awaited heavyweight fight, scheduled for December 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium. The bout is set to stream globally on Netflix and will feature the vacant WBA super heavyweight title. Recent uncertainty centered on UFC chief Dana White’s proposed promotional role, which Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn says conflicts with Joshua’s contract; White is not expected at the launch. Fury has enrolled in VADA testing, and his manager says the remaining contract issues have been resolved, though the fighters’ ring-walk time is still under discussion.
The press conference is scheduled for 6 p.m. BST at the British Airways ARC at Olympia, and a limited number of free tickets have been made available to the public.
The launch event is set to stream on Netflix’s YouTube channel, Netflix Sports’ TikTok and X accounts, and channels operated by Turki Alalshikh and Ring Magazine.
Joshua’s camp pushed for a UK venue because his contract included a clause favoring a UK location; promoters had previously considered Madison Square Garden and other U.S. venues.
The fight is expected to begin in the early hours of December 12 in the UK to accommodate viewers in North America.
