'60 Minutes' Season Premiere

Bari Weiss opens new '60 Minutes' season with a feature on the Los Angeles Rams.

The first edition of "60 Minutes" under CBS News editor in chief Bari Weiss is set to debut on Sept. 13 with a look at the Los Angeles Rams, the team's favorite to win the Super Bowl this season. The segment will also discuss the team owner Stan Kroenke's investment in technology to help them gain an edge on the field. This comes amid pressure for a strong start in ratings following major upheaval at the program. Weiss fired "60 minutes" correspondents Sharyn Alfonsi and Cecilia Vega after complaints that she pushed them to add right-wing talking points to their stories. She also replaced them with screenwriter Nick Bilton, who has no previous TV news experience. Other new contributors include author and journalist Sebastian Junger, former CNN and Vice News correspondent Gianna Toboni, and Trevor Phillips, a British journalist who joined CBS News earlier this year.
