CordenPharma Invests €80 Million to Expand Sterile Injectable Capacity in Italy

CordenPharma is investing €80 million into the future of sterile injectable drug products with a new facility and additional aseptic fill & finish lines at its Italian site in Caponago, Italy. The expansion includes a €13 million acquisition of a new 11,000 m² commercial building and 26,000 acres of land, adjacent to its existing late-stage aseptial fill & finishing manufacturing area. The new facility is ideal for innovative companies seeking a fit-for-purpose asepside fill & finishes outsourcing of their peptide, LNP, small molecule, biologic, and oligonucleotide-based injectable therapeutics. The expanded capacity is a versatile foundation for integration of additional manufacturing lines supporting a wide range of injectable formats. This capacity surge helps meet global demand for sterile injectability outsourcing across therapeutic areas such as oncology, obesity, diabetes and Inflammatory diseases.
