J&T Global Express has crossed a major milestone: its average daily parcel volume hit 101 million in the second quarter of 2026, according to PR Newswire. That puts the global logistics company in rare territory for any carrier, anywhere in the world.
Total parcel volume for the quarter reached 9.177 billion, up 24.2% compared to the same period last year, Yahoo Finance reported. The company called this a "new stage" in its business development.
International Volume Surges as Non-China Business Doubles
The biggest story inside the numbers is J&T's international growth. Non-China parcel volume reached 2.966 billion in Q2, a jump of 66.9% year-on-year, according to PR Newswire. That means roughly one in three parcels the company handled came from outside China.
Non-China volume now makes up 32.3% of J&T's total business. That share is growing fast. The company is no longer just a Chinese logistics giant — it is becoming a global one.
Southeast Asia Expansion Drives Infrastructure Build-Out
J&T added six sorting centers in Southeast Asia since the end of 2025, bringing the regional total to 127, ADVFN reported. The company also added 11 automated sorting lines, reaching a total of 75 across the region.
Automated sorting lines speed up package handling and cut errors. More of them means J&T can process more parcels faster without adding as many workers. This kind of infrastructure investment is what allows a carrier to scale to 100 million daily packages.
China Business Holds Steady as Global Mix Shifts
While international markets grabbed the spotlight, J&T's China operations continued to grow at a steady pace, according to Newswire Canada. China still accounts for 67.7% of total parcel volume, making it the backbone of the business.
The balance is shifting, though. A year ago, non-China volume was a much smaller slice of the pie. With international volume growing at nearly three times the pace of the overall business, China's share of the total will keep shrinking — even as it grows in raw numbers.
