Fortnite experiences widespread outages during scheduled maintenance for the v42.10 update.

Fortnite went down for scheduled v42.10 maintenance on Sept. 3, starting at 4 a.m. ET, with matchmaking disabled at 3:30 a. m. and coming with new Battle Royale gameplay, OG Season X and fixes. Users began complaining about the app shortly after 3 a.M. ET and have continued since then, with over 100 reports of problems by 6 a.am. Most of the problems were with game launch, followed by server connection and game play issues. Fortnight posted on X it was updating to V42. 10 at 4am. ET to bring new Battle Royal gameplay and new fixes and improvements.
