South Carolina's football game against Mississippi State is set to start later than scheduled due to a lightning strike within eight miles of Williams-Brice Stadium. This is the second consecutive weather delay for the Gamecocks. Pre-game warmups were interrupted at 3:05 p.m. and resumed at 335 p. m. Teams returned to the field five minutes later. The delay is expected to last at least 30 minutes, and both teams have yet to warm up.
