The Hatch Chile Festival returns to Hatch, New Mexico this Labor Day weekend, bringing together food, music, culture and plenty of green chile flavor. The festival, which started in 1971, attracts over 30,000 visitors each year. The main attraction is the roasted Hatch chiles, with visitors able to sample chile-inspired foods and shop for local products and crafts. The event also features a parade, carnival attractions, contests and family-friendly activities. The annual Hatch Chile festival Parade will feature colorful floats, local groups and community spirit. The Hatch Selfie Contest will allow visitors to snap selfies next to the icons of Hatch for a chance of winning $100.
