ESPN analyst Paul Finebaum called for an Emmy award for the Big Ten review crew following a controversy surrounding Michigan's 13-12 win over Western Michigan. The Wolverines won on a second, last-second Hail Mary, despite TV replays showing the clock hitting zero with the ball still in the air. The Big Ten defended the review, stating that it was determined that Western Michigan's Micah Davis made contact with the football with one second remaining on the clock. The Mid-American Conference Commissioner Jon Steinbrecher said the conference and school contacted the Big League for an explanation and audio confirming it.
