Realme Plans Harry Potter Themed Smartphone and Earbud Launch in India and Malaysia

The 5,000-unit Hogwarts-trunk gift box is expected to include a Hogwarts acceptance letter and train ticket, house-crest bookmarks, character postcards featuring Harry, Hermione and Ron, a Hogwarts-logo phone case, and a phone pin.
The Harry Potter phone reportedly retains the standard Realme 16 Pro’s core hardware, including a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, a Dimensity 7300 Max processor and a 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging.
The standard Buds T500 Pro uses HyperCube Stacking Tech to make its charging case 20% smaller than the previous generation, while each earbud weighs 4.5 grams and can be secured with a lanyard.
Reported Buds T500 Pro capabilities include up to 50dB noise cancellation across a 5,000Hz bandwidth, AI-based fit calibration, a six-microphone system and a MindFlow Mode with more than 10 ambient soundscapes.
In India, Realme’s promotional bus tour is scheduled to stop in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur and Noida, with fan activities, photo opportunities, co-branded merchandise and the Harry Potter earbuds among the prizes in a user-generated-content contest.
Realme is launching a Harry Potter-themed smartphone and earbuds lineup on September 21, 2026, across India and Malaysia. Times of India reported the Realme 16 Pro 5G Harry Potter Edition will feature a brown leather-textured back with an argyle pattern, a Hogwarts crest, and Hedwig-inspired camera design. A limited gift box modeled after Harry's Hogwarts trunk will be produced in just 5,000 units worldwide.
The collection marks an expansion of Realme's partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Consumer Products. CNBC TV18 confirmed that both the smartphone and Realme Buds T500 Pro earbuds will feature custom design elements, themed accessories, and specialized packaging. The products will be sold through Flipkart in India and Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop in Malaysia starting September 22.
The Realme 16 Pro Harry Potter Edition retains the standard phone's core hardware — a 6.78-inch 144Hz AMOLED display, MediaTek Dimensity 7300 Max processor, and 7,000mAh battery with 80W charging. Sunday Guardian Live reported the phone is priced at INR 62,999 in India, roughly 40% more than the standard edition. The special edition gift box includes a Hogwarts acceptance letter, train ticket, house-crest bookmarks, character postcards, a Hogwarts-logo phone case, and a phone pin.
In Malaysia, the phone is priced at RM 2,699. The brown leather-textured rear panel features an argyle pattern with the Hogwarts crest at the center. The camera module is designed to resemble Hedwig, Harry's owl, and the device carries a 'Welcome to Hogwarts' engraving. The 5,000-unit trunk gift box represents a collector's item, making this the world's most limited edition for this device tier.
The standard Realme Buds T500 Pro offers active noise cancellation up to 50dB, 12.4mm drivers, and up to 56 hours of total battery life. iNews Zoom Bangla detailed that each earbud weighs just 4.5 grams and uses HyperCube Stacking Tech to make the charging case 20% smaller than the previous generation. The buds support AI-based fit calibration and include a lanyard for added security.
Reports suggest the Harry Potter Edition will add adaptive AI noise cancellation, six microphones, Hi-Res audio support, and LHDC 5.0 codec. The special edition in Malaysia includes Hogwarts-inspired detailing, themed accessories, and customized software. In India, the Buds T500 Pro Harry Potter Edition is priced at INR 6,999, up from the standard edition's INR 2,799. Pricing for the Malaysian collector set has not been announced.
Realme will run simultaneous marketing campaigns in India and Malaysia to drive awareness and sales. In Malaysia, a roadshow at Sunway Pyramid's Blue Concourse runs September 21 to 27, allowing consumers to preview the products hands-on. Times of India reported that India's five-city bus tour will stop in Delhi, Chandigarh, Jalandhar, Jaipur, and Noida, running through October 23.
The bus tour offers fan activities, photo opportunities, and co-branded merchandise. Realme is running a user-generated-content contest with the Harry Potter earbuds among the prizes. These on-ground activations target Gen Z and millennial pop-culture fans in major urban centers, positioning Realme as a lifestyle brand beyond purely value-for-money hardware. Sales officially begin September 22 across both markets.
