Popeyes introduces its new $5 honey chicken biscuit nationwide following customer demand.

Popeyes launched its $5 Honey Chicken Biscuit on September 28 at participating restaurants nationwide. The item combines a crispy chicken fillet, an oversized buttermilk biscuit and two packets of sweet honey sauce, and is available throughout the day. The chain says the sandwich was inspired by customers who have long paired its chicken, biscuits and honey; it brings familiar menu staples together in a handheld entrée.
Popeyes Chief Marketing Officer Matt Rubin described the sandwich as balancing “crunchy and soft, savory and sweet,” and said the combination reflects the brand’s Louisiana roots.
Popeyes had more than 3,100 locations nationwide as of September 22, according to data company ScrapeHero.
Although the sandwich is listed at $5, prices may vary by location.
Southern Living suggested pairing the sandwich with sides and desserts including Cajun Fries, Homestyle Mac & Cheese, and the Strawberry Cheesecake Cup.
