Horde Siege will divide its teams of up to 12 players into three squads that pursue objectives while fighting waves of Locust forces.
The Coalition’s Noah Benesch described the customization approach as “old-school inspired,” saying players would unlock items through seasonal and event challenges; the game’s “legendary skins,” he said, draw on the franchise’s gritty and imaginative style.
Insider Gaming noted that the review embargo lifts amid a difficult year for Xbox, following layoffs that included staff at The Coalition, the game’s developer.
