Phillies complete Game 2 comeback over Braves with historic automated ball-strike challenge

The Philadelphia Phillies completed their 4-3 comeback over the Braves in Game 2 of the wild-card series with the use of the automated ball-strike challenge system (ABPS). This was the first time the system was used to end a playoff game at a major league level. Home plate umpire Andrew Beck initially called an 0-2 fastball from Atlanta's Dominic Smith inside and off the plate for a ball, but Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto challenged the call, which was correct. The win-or-home Game 3 is set for 2 p.m. Thursday in Atlanta.
