Anderon Finalizes $1 Billion CHIPS Award to Expand U.S. Quantum Manufacturing

Anderon received the largest single allocation in the CHIPS quantum initiative: its $1 billion award represents about half of the roughly $2 billion distributed among nine companies.
The foundry is intended to operate as an independent supplier for multiple quantum hardware vendors, rather than serving only IBM’s own technology roadmap—an approach compared with TSMC’s role in conventional semiconductor manufacturing.
