Amazon discounts AirPods Pro models significantly ahead of the October shopping event.

At $179, the AirPods Pro 3 are at their second-lowest price to date; AppleInsider says the deal is within $10 of Amazon’s record-low price.
The Pro 3 had previously fallen to $199 several times over the summer, making the current $179 price a further $20 drop, according to 9to5Mac.
The newly released AirPods 5 start at $129 with ANC, or $149 with a wireless charging case; 9to5Mac notes the Pro 3 now cost just $30 more than the latter model.
A recent update alongside iOS 27 added Custom EQ to AirPods Pro 3, as well as new Adaptive Audio controls and improved Find My integration.
Amazon has slashed the AirPods Pro 3 to $179, a $70 discount ahead of its October 6 Prime Big Deal Days event. According to Tom's Guide, this marks one of the lowest prices ever for Apple's flagship earbuds. The company is also clearing first-generation AirPods Pro for just $89.99.
The Pro 3 offer active noise cancellation, adaptive audio, and heart-rate sensing — features rarely seen in earbuds. Gizmodo notes the $179 price now puts them just $30 more than the cheaper AirPods 5 with wireless charging, making them a strong value play.
The $179 price is BigGo Finance's lowest since June and within striking distance of Amazon's all-time low. 9to5Mac reported the Pro 3 previously hit $199 several times this summer, making today's $179 a significant $20 further drop. This 28% discount off the regular $249 list price signals major clearance ahead of newer models.
Apple released the new AirPods 5 at $129 with active noise cancellation, or $149 with a wireless charging case. 9to5Mac highlighted that the Pro 3 now cost only $30 more — an easy upgrade for those willing to spend slightly more for better features like heart-rate tracking and superior noise control.
Apple's recent iOS 18 update brought Custom EQ to the Pro 3, letting users fine-tune sound to their preference. The update also added new Adaptive Audio controls and improved Find My integration for better tracking. These software enhancements make the discounted Pro 3 feel like a fresh product despite being several months old.
Amazon is also closing out the original AirPods Pro for $89.99 — a steep 64% cut from their $249 launch price. While they lack newer health features, the first-gen model still delivers solid active noise cancellation and eight-hour battery life, making them a budget option for those who simply want quality earbuds without paying premium prices.
