Pakistan gold prices drop following a decline in international bullion markets.

Alongside 24-karat rates, 22-karat gold fell by Rs2,358 per 10 grams to Rs344,733.
The 10-gram silver rate also declined, falling Rs43 to Rs5,596.
Gold had retreated about Rs45,000 per tola from its late-August peak above Rs483,000, though it remained above July lows near Rs421,000, according to Times of Karachi.
September prices fluctuated widely: after starting near Rs444,727 per tola, gold reached a monthly peak of about Rs459,540 on Sept. 3, then spent much of mid-month in a roughly Rs440,000–Rs450,000 range.
Gold prices in Pakistan fell sharply on Thursday, October 1, with 24-karat gold dropping Rs3,000 per tola to Rs438,636, according to Mettis Link News. The decline tracked a $30 drop in global gold prices to $4,161 per ounce, as international bullion markets continued their recent volatility.
Silver weakened alongside gold, falling Rs50 per tola to Rs6,528 locally as its global price slipped 50 cents to $60.50 per ounce, Business Recorder reported. The moves come after a strong Rs4,300 rebound the previous day and underscore continued swings in Pakistan's precious metals market.
Pakistan's gold prices have fallen roughly Rs45,000 per tola since reaching an all-time high above Rs483,000 in late August, according to Times of Karachi. Despite the decline, gold remains well above its July low near Rs421,000. The correction reflects broader weakness in international bullion markets over recent weeks.
September saw wild swings. Gold began the month near Rs444,727 per tola, climbed to approximately Rs459,540 on September 3, then spent mid-month bouncing between Rs440,000 and Rs450,000, Times of Karachi noted. This volatility has made timing difficult for Pakistani buyers and jewelers.
Beyond 24-karat gold, other variants fell in tandem. The 10-gram rate for 24-karat gold dropped Rs2,572 to Rs376,059, while 22-karat gold fell Rs2,358 per 10 grams to Rs344,733, Daily Times reported. Silver also declined across both the per-tola and 10-gram measures.
The All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association confirmed these adjustments came directly from international bullion movements and rupee exchange rates, Business Recorder said. Pakistan imports all its precious metals, so domestic prices closely track global benchmarks in dollars.
Daily price swings of thousands of rupees are cooling retail demand. Local jewelers report that consumers are postponing gold purchases until prices stabilize, Mazaj News indicated. Wedding season purchases—a major tradition in Pakistan—have shifted into a cautious holding pattern.
Analysts warn retail investors against panic buying during volatility. Gold Price Live Pakistan advises waiting for clearer consolidation before making large purchases. Meanwhile, central banks and wealth holders continue using gold as a hedge against inflation and economic uncertainty, supporting prices above July lows.
International factors—especially U.S. Federal Reserve policy and Treasury bond yields—directly shape Pakistan's bullion prices, Mettis Link News explained. Upcoming U.S. employment data and Fed signals will likely dictate whether gold stabilizes or swings further.
Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East and high global inflation have underpinned gold's long-term strength above $4,000 per ounce, Business Recorder reported. Pakistani traders are monitoring rupee exchange rates closely, as currency weakness can offset international price declines and support local bullion costs.
