Nordex secures major wind turbine orders across multiple European markets and Austria.

Nordex announced 175 MW of wind turbine orders across France, Portugal and Spain, covering 34 turbines with multi-year service agreements and installations planned for 2027–2028; customers and project sites were not disclosed. Separately, it won a 56 MW order from WEB Windenergie for eight N175/6.X turbines at the Auersthal repowering project in Lower Austria, its first deployment of that turbine model in Austria and its largest single Austrian project to date. The Austrian turbines are scheduled to enter service in 2028, replacing older equipment to increase generation at the site. While the new contracts extend Nordex’s European order flow, investor commentary notes that converting its backlog into earnings will depend on execution, margins and managing warranty costs.
The 175 MW order portfolio comprises eight N175/6.X turbines, four N163/6.X, four N149/4.X, nine N133/4.8 and nine N131/3.6 turbines; Nordex said the mix reflects differing wind conditions and permitting requirements in the three markets.
The Austrian Auersthal order includes a 25-year Premium Service agreement, a longer specified term than the multi-year agreements described for the other European orders.
Nordex’s newly introduced N193/7.X Delta4000 variant is designed for medium- and low-wind sites, with a 193-metre rotor and capacity of up to 7.3 MW; serial production is planned for 2029.
The investor commentary also flags Nordex’s concentration in Europe—particularly Germany—as an operational exposure, saying policy or auction changes there could affect sales volumes and margin quality.
