Real-Time Transcription Launch

VIQ Solutions launches real-time multi-lingual transcription platform to address industry staffing shortages.

VIQ Solutions (TSXV: VQS) has launched NetScribe® Live, a Real-Time Recording and Multi-Lingual Transcription Platform for multiple industry applications. The platform combines single- or multi-channel audio recording with live streaming transcription and translation across multiple spoken languages. It captures in-person, hybrid, and remote proceedings and streams transcription and translations in real time, so participants can follow a proceeding as it happens rather than waiting for a transcript. The launch comes as U.S. courts face increasing court reporter staffing pressures, with the Bureau of Labor Statistics counted roughly 17,700 court reporters and simultaneous captioners employed in the US in 2024 and projects little or no change in that number through 2034. VIQ has been building recording and transcription technology for over 35 years and its technology is used in over 65,000 courtrooms worldwide.
