Trump Urges Senate Republicans to Pass Bill for Permanent Daylight Saving Time

President Donald Trump has urged Senate Republicans to support legislation that would make daylight saving time permanent, effectively ending the twice-yearly clock change. The bill, dubbed the "No More Changing of Clocks Act," passed the House of Representatives in July but has yet to clear the Senate. The president accused Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Arkansas, of delaying the bill's passage for reasons unknown. Cotton has long opposed permanent daylight saving, arguing that it would bring later winter sunrises and inconvenience millions of Americans. However, many experts argue permanent standard time would be healthier due to aligning with the body's natural clock.
