Selkirk Copper reports high-grade drill results from its Phase 2 Minto project.

Selkirk Copper reported a high-grade result from Phase 2 drilling at its Minto project in Yukon: a 5.4-meter interval at Minto North graded 9.27% copper, 7.43 g/t gold and 54.9 g/t silver, equivalent to 15.11% copper. The step-out hole is among the highest-grade results in the project’s historical database, and other drilling returned additional mineralization across Minto North, Area 118, Minto Main and Copper Keel. A second step-out suggests the 202 Lens remains open to the northwest, while the company says drilling is helping refine its understanding of the deposit. By September 28, Phase 2 had covered 52,485 meters in 224 holes; drilling is expected to continue through mid-October, with results intended to inform an updated resource estimate. The new results were not included in the project’s recent preliminary economic assessment, which estimated an after-tax net present value of C$494 million and targets first concentrate in the second half of 2028.
Individual one-metre samples from the standout 26SCM209 intercept graded as high as 17.5% copper.
The two Minto North step-out holes suggest that higher grades may align along a north-northwest trend, a pattern Selkirk says it sees elsewhere across the deposit.
The completed Phase 2 drilling represented 105% of the planned meterage; remaining work was expected to focus on geotechnical data collection and exploration of new geophysical targets.
Selkirk said its first year of drilling comprised 365 diamond drill holes and 98,467 metres, involving about 200,000 person-hours and an approximately C$45 million investment.
Area 118 infill drilling was described as delineating high-grade mineralization within 100 metres of historical underground workings.
